Came at around 5pm on a weekday so there was no crowd to speak of, but people did come in after we left an hour later. The chef here was super friendly and was lovely to chat with even though we only spoke basic amounts of each other's language. We had the omakase set which came with 12 pieces of delicious freshly made sushi at only 4,400 yen per person and it even came with a scoop of delicious soy sauce ice cream!

After visiting the Karakuri Museum nearby I stopped in here to kappa Honshu Sushi for lunch. It was absolutely delicious, the fish was just so incredibly fresh. Served with rice and a fish miso soup, and a Houjicha ice cream for dessert, I left very happy!

We were at the Karakuri Museum nearby, and were looking for a coffee shop but ended up in Kappo Hosho Sushi at around 11am. I had the sushi omakase, my 8 year-old had the tempura assortment (she doesn’t like sushis) It was absolutely divine! Traditional nigiri - to be eaten with soy sauce. They are elegant, simple (don’t expect the flamboyant modern sushis with ginormous fish slices) The fish are seasonal fish. I ended up ordering more pieces. The tempuras were so crispy, so good too. Will definitely come back next time we come in Kanazawa.
